St. Albert Children's Theatre began as a summer drama camp, and this element remains a very important part of the program. Each summer SACT offers a series of camps and workshops to children ages three to 19 years.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and occurs in late May or early June.
Information about dates for summer drama camps is generally announced in January.
The winter production is SACT's largest production of the year. A full roster of artistic and technical professionals work with about 40 young people (ages eight to 19 years) to present a full-scale Broadway-style musical. Auditions are held each summer. SACT's popular spring production is presented as a Main Stage act at the International Children's Festival which is held in St. Albert each year during the last week of May. Presented amongst professional theatre acts from all over the world, the SACT production is always one of the first shows to sell out. Auditions are held each January.
St. Albert Children's Theatre depends heavily on volunteer support from both youths (ages 14 and over) and adults. There are several ways to become a SACT volunteer:
